Car question ?

I need a car to get around. My budget is $500. I can do just about any and all repairs on a vehicle. Please let me know what you would suggest for that price? 1998 is the lowest year that I will go.

well you are kinda limiting yourself if 1998 is the lowest you will go. i had a 1989 ford escort and that thing was sweet, it ran mint and got great gas mileage believe it or not, a 1/4 tank would last me almost a week and i drove a lot and a plus to that is that it was easy to work on. i know its not the prettiest thing in the world but it did the job and never failed me once. oh and i got it for $400 and that was like almost 10 years ago

I doubt you’ll get anything worth having at that price range. In my experience you need at least $2000 to get into something you can actually drive. I’d save your money till you can afford a little more to expand your options. Otherwise, I think you’re wasting your time.
