What to look for in a used car purchase
I’ve created this short article because I think I get asked about this topic more than just about anything else. I’ve actually made a few videos that answer most questions when it comes to purchasing a used vehicle that I will post here. Included is a series of videos covering how to inspect a used vehicle before purchase. Have a budget in mind and be realistic about your needs when looking for a used vehicle. I can’t tell you how many times people have come to me with a vehicle they already bought, only to find out it’s not something they can afford to keep and maintain. They loved the color though. Buy with your head, not with your heart. If you find issues while inspecting the vehicle you’re hoping to purchase, bring it up to the seller and see if you can negotiate a better price. Add the price of repairs to the purchase price, if the price of repairs and the price of the vehicle exceed your budget, keep looking. I strongly recommend you have the vehicle you’re looking to purchase checked out by a qualified technician, preferably one that specializes in the make you’re considering buying, before you make your purchase. It will be money well spent, trust me. Here are the videos I mentioned, including one on “Selling a Used Car” that you might also find useful. Good luck.

Hello Eric:
I am interested in purchasing an 8th or 9th generation Honda Accord Coupe (preferably one with a 6 speed manual and v6). Are there any major issues specific to this model that I should be on the lookout for?
Thanks!

I’m in the market for a newer used car, so here’s my question.
Which car has more wear and tear, a 10 year old car or a 5 year old car with the same miles?
