Replacing Clutch Hydraulics 1999 Acura CL/Accord
In this video I show how to diagnose and replace the clutch hydraulics on this 1999 Acura CL/Accord. This is a VERY common problem with Honda’s and Acuras, even more so when you use heavy duty aftermarket clutches. The symptoms of a failed clutch hydraulic component is either grinding when shifting in more than one gear, or the clutch pedal will go to the floor and not return. It’s easy to inspect for a failed clutch hydraulic component as it’s normally just a visual inspection, it’s knowing where to look that’s key. There are also several methods of bleeding out the system when you’re done. You can do it like I show in the video or you could use a vacuum or pressure bleeder which would be much easier. Outside of that this is a job I think most DIYers could do in just a few hours.
