      Hey guys,

Is Universal O2 Sensor good? My sister’s vehicle has a bad Bank 1 Sensor 2 and when I checked for the replacement Universal O2 Sensor is almost 1/3rd the cost of OEM one. I am looking for reputed brands like Bosch and NTK. So, apart from the wiring job is there anything else I need to consider before buying? Is the thread size same for all O2 Sensors?

The possible pitfall of using a universal O2 sensor..
Some vehicles can be a bit finicky about anything but an OEM part.
Many name brands, Bosch, NGK, Denso are OEM original equipment on many vehicles.

I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY discourage using Universal O2 sensors. Use the brand the OEM calls for..

          Good luck

            Ditto to the above posts.

Many places do not accept returns for O2 sensors. So, if a universal sensor is incompatible with the vehicle, then you will have to pay for two sensors.

I’ve had good luck with direct-fit sensors from the OEM supplier (e.g. Denso, NGK, etc.) that can be found in the aftermarket for less than the dealer.

Thanks guys. Then I would rather wait and get the right original ones.
