So I ventured into my garage for a routine shock job on my 2009 Nissan Cube.
Shock bolts were rusty, so i sprayed with PB blaster and used heat. Lots of Heat. got one bolt out over time, Moved to the other side repeating the process.
SNAP
Busted off the second lower shock absorber bolt. The problem is, it’s even with the chassis of the car. I have the shock removed, but the bolt remains.
I’ve tried:
Heat
Extractor drill bits
Heat
PBlaster
Heat
Punch/Chiseling it out
Drilling into the snapped bolt, doesnt seem like it wants to have any of it.I’m aware I’m going to have to retap the hole. At this point I just want the bolt to be out. I’m going on day 3 of this shock job.
Do any of you have any suggestions on how to remove it?
