Hi. A friend of mine has a 1996 Ford F-150 with a 5.8l V8 that will crank but will not start. It has a P0320 engine code which is ignition/distributor engine speed input circuit. He’s replaced the ignition control module and the distributor pick up coil based on some research I did about the code, but it still won’t start. He thinks the computer may be bad. I was wondering what the next step would be?

        Possible causes:
        Faulty Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor
        Faulty Crankshaft Position sensor
Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor harness is open or shorted
Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor circuit poor electrical connection
        Low battery charge
        Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)
