Hello,
Thank you for your time and discussion regarding my issue, If there is an existing post on this issue, I apologize. I searched but did not find anything.

Vehicle came in this morning, 2007 suburban 1500 2wd 5.3
Vehicle had check engine light (TPS and APP not correlating). reduced power mode. Scanned vehicle (snap on solus edge). Determined APP sensor fine, graphed o-99% without interruption. TPS Sensor all over the place. Fluctuating between 5-35% sitting KOEO. Wouldnt read past 35% even at WOT. Bought new throttle body from NAPA. Installed, performed re-learn procedure. Vehicle would idle fine in any gear, however, in park or neutral if you accelerated at all, vehicle would jump to 2500-3000rpm and stick there. Shut vehicle down. KOEO pulled up idle relearn on the solus, successfully performed idle relearn procedure. Vehicle idles perfect (650-750 at idle) until you touch the accelerator and it jumps to 2500-3000rpm and sticks there. Pulled battery cables and touched them together for about a minute. Put vehicle through complete relearn. problem persists. Warrantied out throttle body for a new one. Same issue. Went back through all previous steps beginning with manual re-learn, followed by idle re-learn on the scanner, even followed that up with a 20-30 minute test drive. Still the same. Vehicle will start up and idle fine, until you touch the gas pedal. at which time it shoots up in RPM and sticks. If you drop the vehicle in gear and let idle come back down, it will stay down until you touch the gas pedal again in park or neutral. Weird thing is, as soon as idle jumps, you can watch TPS sensor on the scanner go to 25% or so, and it will stay there, even KOEO, until you either drop vehicle in gear and let idle come down, unhook battery and clear memory, or perform idle relearn on the scanner, at which point it will drop back down until you rev it up again.

Vehicle had no idle issues up to this point. Im at a bit of a loss and hoping someone can help me out here. btw, no diagnostic codes. Idles perfect in gear, test drive went perfect. KOEO TPS Sensor is reading normally now (as in, it correlates perfectly with APP)

Thank you, Tommy

Just wanted to update today's findings in case anyone else runs into this problem. Turned out that the pcm required a hardware update (reflash) ran it up to the dealer. They installed the most current update and its back running perfect.

Glad you got it taken care of! Some throttle bodies have a special coating on the throttle plate, so when it's cleaned it gets scraped off. That'll cause some issues too. Thankfully yours was just a reflash haha.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it
