      Hi,

I bought a 12V 40A relay from an online shop, soon the package arrived and upon opening the package I received a relay with higher rating at 80A 14VDC

      My questions are:

      1. Is it ok to replace the 12V 30A with this 80A 14VDC
      2. Why is there 12VDC and 14VDC?

Going to replace relay for radiator fan both high and low speed, and both low and high beam.

      Please advise.

      Thank you,

        2. Why is there 12VDC and 14VDC? The design value in watts (DC) or volt amperes (AC) which can safely be switched by the contacts. This value is the product of switching voltage x switching current, and will be lower than the maximum voltage and maximum current product.
