Long Crank Only When Cold, No Codes was created by Pinocchio
I have a 2011 Subaru Impreza Premium Hatchback. Recently, whenever it is cold out (anywhere from 25 degrees and down) my car cranks for a loooong time. Usually takes 2-3 times of cranking for 8 secs at a time until it will finally start. Once it starts, it will start right up. Even after it sits through a workday it will start right up at the end of the day. But every morning it's the same thing. There are no codes. I replaced the MAF sensor, air filter, battery, spark plug coils and the sparkplugs, but still having the same issue. Anyone have any suggestions? It's driving me crazy!

Thanks in advance!

One thing you can try is priming the fuel pump multiple times before starting and see if it makes a difference. Perhaps fuel is slowly bleeding back past the pump?

Yea I’ve tried this. Doesn’t seem to help. It has everything to do with the temperature outside.

You could try ohming out the ECT sensor.
