So I have decided to go down the path of learning how to repair and possibly build a cars. To this end I have picked up a textbook, started reading and I’m even considering an online course. But let’s face facts… this isn’t a one of those book learning things, this is a get your hands dirty kinda thing you need to get practical experience. But experience is going to be hard to come by. I work a full time job, I am too broke to go to a trade school (and here in NY, they are hella expensive) and i don’t own my own car to tinker around with so what am I to do?
ORDER PARTS AND BUILD IT MYSELF !
So my question, is there a good, maybe small to medium size engine I can start with? That I can order parts for from time to time? I will grease it up so it’s parts move but i won’t be running gas through it.
Of course I would consider any other recommendations. Appreciate the time.
