Strut spacers for lifting 2″

Thoughts on using strut spacers to lift your ride roughly 2″.
i’m assuming alignment will need to be checked and possibly corrected. thinking worse case would be some adjustable control arms and/or ball joints installed to correct alignment. Wondering if anyone has experience doing this.

this is a general question i’m throwing out there, but if you were curious, I am considering these for a 2012 Crosstour (V6 4WD).
