I have to admit I was a bit surprised at how well this tool worked. Having using large ‘old school’ soldering irons for years, it was nice to pick this one up and feel how light it was. I’m also excited about the portability of this unit. I feel I’ll be able to get into places that my older soldering irons couldn’t. I REALLY like not having to worry about a chord. That makes it convenient as well as effective.
My only real critiques for this soldering iron are the lack of a charging light on the charging station, and the tungsten bulb on the unit itself. I think it would be better and more efficient if it was an LED. Otherwise, great tool.
