Identify the Problem
Vehicle performance problems can result from anything from engine performance issues to problems with the driveline. The first step with any performance problem is to try to isolate the source of the problem. With a little time and some detective work, you should be able to identify the problem and begin your repair.

First time working on this engine. Changed the head gasket, timing chain etc. Put back together reinstalled into vehicle. Had a start issue but resolved it got engine running. Computer say misfire #1&2 somehow got rid of #2 but still has #1 misfire.. cycled thru plags, coil packs cleaned injectors out. I have a video of engine running..

Hi I have a 2000 Ford triton v10 E350 van and I am having problems with misfire on Cilinder 2 and 7 and also a P0135 code and a P1131 code, found info how to find a vacuum leak for the p0135 code but I’m confused with the P1131 (lack of upstream heated) can you explain how can I do to find the P1131 solution. ( I also bought a workshop manual for the van, since I’m not a mechanic but wish to find the problems my self)

I have the P0496 check engine code, it’s been running good for a month after replacing the Purge vent solenoid and the Vaper Canister Vent which is below the vehicle on top of the canister. with those parts new and changed and this error what else needs replacing with the code Evaporative System high purge flow? could the Canister be bad?

I have a 2003 Honda Element with 180000 miles with a cold air intake and it runs and sounds a little funny when I first start it when it’s cold. It also revs to one and a half RPMs till it warms up, is this normal? When it is warmed up it runs great. It starts perfect as well. Just some vibration and the Piston sound is clear as if it is a diesel. The oil is perfect in it and the spark plugs are good and coil packs are good.
