I removed the TB and cleaned it like new! I also cleaned inside the plenum…as far as I could reach!
I’m an obsessive compulsive! I want it as clean as can be…otherwise I can’t sleep! Hahaha!
Seriously though, I did install an aftermarket ‘special’ TB gasket. It’s like a TB spacer, being that it supposedly keeps the temperature down between the TB and plenum. However the passage holes on the gasket are a little different than on the OEM gasket…
I’m having jumping idle problems.
Maybe the new gasket is causing idle trouble? Thanks for the advice.
Can you please define what you mean by ‘burp’?
Cuz I just guzzled down 2 beers in front of my car and then I made a big ‘burp’!
My neighbour’s kid ran off crying but my car seemed unimpressed!
It definately cleared ‘my’ coolant system!
🙂I did remove my throttle body when I cleaned it…and only after the fact did I read that by doing that I may have screwed up the throttle position sensor???
Check for vac. leaks…
I don’t have propane…and the carb cleaner method???
If the engine is cold, what are the chances of starting a fire if I spray carb cleaner to find leaks???
Hmm?OK.
Do you know where I can find diagrams of ‘which hose goes where’?
I can’t find clear diagrams from my Prelude…?
Would connecting the wrong hose cause this idle jumping?
Anyhow, I will try to bleed the cooling sys.
Should I drain it all our or just let the car run and top it off progressively?
Thanks. -
