Update again
Flushed the tank again with acetone (general purpose thinners from local autoparts store) stuck the new fuel pump in put the battery in primed up the system turned the key and it started straight away it didnt stall or anything and it ran awesomely
Just have to do a minor service (coolant flush, oil change couldn’t hurt) and the only lights that work is the reverse lights xd so just that now =] and shes fixed

hey just a kinda update to this I have removed the fuel tank to replace the fuel pump and cleaned the fuel tank of all the old fuel and cleaned it out with hot water and detergent and rinsed it and have now left it for a while during the day to let it dry out
Pretty much all water has gone now but noticed there is like a thin layer of kind of powder lining the inside of the tank I noticed that it was also on the fuel sending unit, is this normal to kinda prevent corrosion inside or could this be what made the pump fail and means i need to scrub the crap out of the inside of the tank

Sometimes libraries might even have service manuals maybe not to borrow out but access to read and take notes
Automatic transmissions are sometimes closed boxes never to be reopened and the fluid in them is for life but if its a transaxle it should have something to put fluid back in, incase something happened with the driveshafts and oil was removed it has to be put back in there somehow
There is also electric steering racks now or manual which neither use power steering, being 2003 it seems to old for manual steering and to young for electric but you never know
