So yea its hydraulic clutch seeing its low could possibly maybe be a leak? because hydraulic fluid isn’t consumed when used it stays there until its taken out usually it doesn’t just disappear, otherwise it has a leak somewhere which could introduce air which will mess with the clutch I don’t see how that effects the shifter might explain the peddle though
If it has an airlock in the lines that made its way in there since it sat could of cycled the airlock around yesterday when you touched it and moved it further along the line and made the clutch act differently so your kinda just compressing air with your foot to the point you cant compress it anymore
To be honest though i really don’t know sorry all that is just kinda a stab in the dark and a theory
I’m just going to add that seat belt in the door is wierd…. never seen that before but looks like you have to take more stuff off from looking at that photo unless you put it back together to make it look pretty for its photo shoot
Is it one of those cars when you need to push in the clutch to start the car(its a safety thing) could just be peddle adjustment? if it hydraulic or cable, but I don’t see how the peddle will have the box stuck in reverse
At least the clutch disengages seeing the car rolls
Did you manage to start the car and drive it in reverse like you said in first comment or did it just roll with the clutch to the floor? theres kinda a big difference
Did it all work properly before it sat? I don’t live in the states we don’t even have that model car nor does it reach freezing even in winter where I am, so I may not be the best help with this
If you fully adjust the belt then tighten the lock nut for the adjuster down it can over tighten the belt like you are kinda meant to half tighten it tighten the lock nut for the belt then adjust it the rest of the way because locking it tightens it to a degree
Linkage somewhere maybe? Synchros worst case scenario probably?
Im guessing you probably know how to change gears but did you put the clutch in even if its off, if the weight of the car is resting on the gears it probably wont budge but if you put your foot on the clutch it moves easily but seeing you said you can start and drive in reverse it probably isnt relevant =]
Great videos even for the age of them =] Love the repair and engine videos keep ’em coming
Was, I found them, crimped new connectors onto the ends of them because they had fallen off and plugged them back into the bottom the relay and hoped for the best pretty much but it wouldn’t work if I did it wrong right?
My bad its a 1994 Ford XG Falcon ill add i did found 2 wires hanging out the bottom of either the low or high beam relay don’t remember which 1 it was (they are right next to each other) but could it be possible i mixed them wires around and it would cause it to work but then short out but i’m pretty sure I got that right
Pretty much the copper terminals on the relay are the high amp and means the bigger wire and the steel terminals are low amp? that’s pretty much what I did and if I did screw it up wouldn’t it just not work at all? so yea i’m pretty sure I got that right but just a thought
Google it maybe I had a quick look this is all I found
Could try an aftermarket service manual for your car or an actual service manual from toyota, aftermarket manual diagrams are pretty bad you have to be a rocket scientist to understand the thing but it is a good starting point

To rule out a compression leak you can do a leak down test
These should help if you wish to do the test and haven’t seen these before
It will not hurt the gearbox at all, I drive a manual and always leave it in gear even sometimes without the handbrake (usually when i forget it) but I wouldn’t put all my faith in the handbrake either

I’ll just throw an update in on this (noob question was answered disregard the heading)
But I fixed the headlights and indicators as a kinda diy hoping to be a technician one day it probably involved the most diagnosing of a car i have ever done =] and when I found the problem and fixed it I was ecstatic but also it was kinda a slap in the face
I went around checking all fuses and relays and wires under the relays which had actually fallen out repaired that still didn’t work then I pulled the headlight and hazard switch out of the dash and neither were plugged in so I kinda thought to myself well that’s problem rectified that problem and now they work (that was the slap in the face i was talking about that was definitely a wtf moment)
