Check pins on obd2 port or even spray the port with some electrical spray to clean port out.

Old leather smell I don’t mind but dog smell is shocking…. I have two dogs (and clean my car regularly) but only notice it when its raining and I have the windows up….
I do remember when I was younger in the 80’s jumping into my 71 valiant charger with all vinyl and loving the smell.

Eric you are spot on with that nowadays cars a pretty boring to look at, whereas in the sixties, seventies cars had charisma.

Finally got the temp sensor and did a engine flush (remove all old coolant) and replaced coolant and put the temp sensor in.
Jumped into the car (prayed to the motor gods) , turn the key and yeeha it started first pop.
So thank you to 13aceofspades13 for your suggestion.. Your a legend 🙂

There are no lights that come on the dash but I will check out the coolant temp sensor..
I dont have a code reader but I will try and see if someone I know has one.
Thank you 13aceofspades13 for the suggestion.

              Edit: update,
You might be right about coolant temp sensors as when I checked it, the sensor plug was broken off the top.
So I have put a order in for a new one.
Cross fingers that is all it was 🙂
Funny thing is that I had noticed the loose plug wire and didnt really track it down to where it goes.

iacv ‘Inlet air control valve’ if it has one sometimes the hose from inlet manifold to the iacv gets clogged and a good clean of the hose can fix rough idle.

No you dont need to adjust your parking brake just replace the rotor and pads.
Parking brake works separately to the disc brakes.

+1 ^^^^^ You only need to lift the weight off the mount and if you are doing more that one mount I normally will do one side completely first then to the other side and so on.
And I adjust the jack so that it is only living the mount that I am changing.
As cap269 mentioned use a thick piece of wood the size of the pan.

On the door chime it would be one of the wires going from the button that is on the door frame which does the interior lights too.
Seat belt one, you could check under your seat for the wires that connect from the seat to a plug under the carpet.

It should be between the k&n filter and the throttle body along the tubing.

I would check to see if the vents are fully opening and the vent tubes coming from your heater box to the vents for any blockages.

retard your timing, if you have good hearing you can hear the sweet spot when you adjust your timing.

Maybe no gas ? Pretty vauge question, might need more info like if the air is coming out of the vents and if so hot or cold ?

Check iacv ‘intake air control valve’. sometimes the hose from the iacv to intake gets dirt inside it so a good clean does the trick.

If you have unplugged the sensor and the gauge is still showing hot, your gauge is faulty.
