Thanks for the replies,
The weirdest thing happened. Last night I drove the car after 5 hours after I finish the job.
The pedal felt almost normal. Without me doing anything to it….It still works just fine,
I suspect there is some air in the system, and the bushing on the opposite caliper is almost completely rotten away.Going to bleed the whole system one more time after replacing the bushing.
I cant explain why it worked fine all sudden, but I am happy it did.
Cheers,
I will recomend Prostop reman calipers except dont use the shimmed they come with, They are not cut to spec.but quality of the parts are high.
Ended up reserving caliper from NAPA’s eclipse line, their parts warranty and returns are convenient.Online I read pretty good reviews about them.
Really didnt want to deal with buying online, returning the core and shipping. And B&A isnt available anywhere I can return easily( main shops ).Thanks for all the input guys, will update next weekend when the job is complete.
So i changed the caliper with one from pep boys its their in house brand Prostop.
I cant help to feel still something is wrong…
Ended up reserving caliper from NAPA’s eclipse line, their parts warranty and returns are convenient.Online I read pretty good reviews about them.

Hey,
I live in los angeles so no empthy highway. Just tried pressing breaks on a canyon and both rotors are on fire so its definetly engaging. I think its a disengaging problem that inam running into.
I already did the caliper cleaning based on eric’s break inspection video.last person that did the breaks was an idiot he used anti cease in the boots really nasty looking goo was inside. and had to use deep impact sockets to get the bolts off.
I am gonna replace them , its a gut feeling somethings wrong but car breaks fine. The girlfriend says im just being overly cautious as always so ill do the job for sake of learning if not anything.
Buying B&A i trust erics recommendations.
Happy Mk Jr weekend.
