Actually that is the way they used to do it even at car factories. Just think carefully how you’re bending it since you shouldn’t bend back and forth.

It may be problem with circuit that sends power to oxygen sensor heaters. It gets its power from no.15 7.5A fuse. If the fuse is ok and has good contact. Measure voltage at heater oxygen sensor heater wire (engine of key on) It should have battery voltage. If it was there you may need to measure voltage across oxygen sensor heater (cold engine running). If it is there then either I’m wrong or problem is intermittent.

You may be able to find relay with diode or just use separate diode. It may work without it but not using one is common reason why cars with electrical additions tend to have electrical problems.

That’s the second option. Diode needs to be parallel to relay coil to protect ECM from inductive spike that relay will cause.
First you connect diode like http://www.12voltplanet.co.uk/user/Relay_with_diode_across_coil.png and then connect LCM headlight wire –> (ping 86) Relay control (ping 85) –> ground

Sometimes ECU may read misfires wrong so it might have been another cylinder.

Or in the system the system in 16 spark plug hemi every coil controls two spark plugs another being in other cylinder (spark plug 2 fires late and is there mostly for emissions). So the other spark plug that the coil of cylinder 1 plug 1 uses (cylinder 2 plug 2) may also be culprit.

college man: If I understand correctly he first changed plugs on cylinder 1 and misfire code came back. Then he changed all spark plugs and code stayed off.

Best is to use stuff that is designed for that. Or use diesel for cheaper alternative. Put it just before oil change keep rpms up but use throttle gently. Don’t drive it! Then just change oil.

But you should only do it if there is need for that. For example if your engine has tendency to block piston oil return holes then you could use it either to clean already blocked holes or to use it as an precaution.

You don’t have to do perfect job at cleaning it. So if you can you don’t have to remove anything just don’t blow grease or oil into brakes.
