I’m a Tech for MINI Cooper and we’re not allowed to perform any type of wire repairs unless instructed by the manufacturer. If you perform a wire repair and something happens like a fire then the tech/shop will be held accounted for. If the manufacturer instructs to perform a wire repair then there liable.
BTW soldering is not recommended to use on a wire repair. It creates high resistance. I’ve soldered wires on my personal vehicles and still no problems till this day.

It only takes around 2lbs of freon. If the compressor is leaking it will never blow 45 degrees… Doesn’t sound right to me…

Astros don’t have any rear adjustments…. Take it to any alignment shop and have them adjust the front toe only.. It shouldn’t cost you more than 45 bucks…

Blend door… If you know anyone with a Tech 2 scanner they can perform a function test on the actuators and most likely to blend door actuator is bad.
            Good luck.

I see this everyday at my shop… With a wire brush we clean all the rust off and add anti seize to the hub. And every time you rotate your tires clean the old anti seize and put new anti seize. Works like a charm.

The actuator needs to be recalibrate with Tech 2. It will recalibrate all actuators to relearn there positions. Just take it to the dealer and have them recalibrate them. It’s cheaper then buying a scanner that can do that. There is also a function test have them run that test. It only take 1-2 minutes for the function test and anther 1-2 to recalibrate the actuators.

You need two people for this quick test. One person turns truck on and second person bangs on gas tank while cranking. If the truck turns on most likely the fuses, relay, pcm, and wiring is good. If you have a full tank of gas it won’t be easy to replace fuel pump. There is NO access panel the gas tank has to come down. It’s very easy depending on your skill level. There are tons of DIY videos on YouTube.
                  Good luck.

Ask this question on the Garage Journal forums… I’m sure you’ll get all the info you need there..
