        Hrmm. if there was a leak in your slave you would be able to see it. But as for the slip did you torque the pressure plate , as well as lube up the shaft that the throw out bearing rides on.

            Your float may have been too corroded, and when you dropped the tank it may have screwed the float up somehow. But when i usually i see a haywire gas gauge, i go for the float. And since you just dropped the tank it makes sense that you may have buggered it up somehow.

                Update: I’ve talked to a kia tech at the local dealer, it is a flat rate shop, but he told me that the apprentices do get paid hourly.

                    I have a question, on your Hyundai is the slave cylinder in the bell housing, or is it outside of the bell housing?

                        Well, your gear linkage could be binding up. Are you hearing a grinding noise when you try to put it into 1st, or any other gear.

                            Hrm…. Here in Canada, i don’t think i’ve seen anybody actually sell KC tools but i have heard good things about them.

                                ozzing is normal if you just greased the joint, check to see if there is any major tears or rips in the boot it’s self. As for the scraping, make sure your backing plate isnt bent.
