Complete newby here, is there any sense in checking the injectors? Or perhaps an internal intake manifold gasket leak?

My 1990 accord was doing that. It ended up being a loose connection to the torque converter lock up soloniod. If its an automatic, try doing what Eric did in one of his last vids an shift through the gears manually.
