NO performance issue that I have noticed except I though that about a minute before the MIL light came on the vehicle did not respond to the gas being pressed down, but this was very brief and i was going up hill so its hard to say what was going on
. The light actually went off after 3 more trips by itself. My GM manual says this code is for the Ignition control module. ?? What are your thoughts on this issue should I be concerned that the light came on and off.

Problem fixed! The MAF was on its way out must have been reporting too slow or incorrectly. The GM service manuel had it listed to unplug the MAF and see it LTFT corrects if it does the MAF is bad. I did this and sure enough it corrected without the MAF. Looks like on this vehicle when the MAF is off it defaults to a preset number but the O2 sensors still keep alternating between rich and lean to keep the cat happy.
Anyway my LTFT is about 1-4 while driving and about 9-10 at idle Im happy with that. I was at 16.4 but that value is maxed out for this vehicle. The 16.4 was also paired with about a 4-7 STFT. Now both trims look pretty good.
Thanks for all the suggestions. It was very difficult to determine it was actually the MAF because you have to basically prove there are no vacuum leaks before the MAF test is valid. I tested for leak by blowing cigar smoke into my throttle body, maybe not the most reliable method but i think it worked, had no leaks visible so i went ahead and replaced the MAF.

if there are exhaust leaks well past the O2 sensor will this matter?

Ok, ive done a pretty good vaccum leak check and cant seam to find anything, I was thinking of hooking up my brake bleeder and seeing if the vaccum system can maintain the negative pressure ( this is the only tool i have that mayt work)
do you think this would be a valid test for a vaccum leak or would it just suck in air from the outside?
Also lets just say that There are no vaccum leaks, why would there be fuel added to my system. My thoughs are that the MAF is giving a falsely high reading???
What steps should I take if there is indeed no vaccum leaks?
Also I know that the car is old but this was for the most part a sudden change, that actaully set a check engine code. If I remember correctly the LTFT used to run at about 5-7.
Your thoughts????

Yes it is the curved plastic tube that just kind of hangs in there i was pretty sure it went up into the pcv compartment on the upper intake but mine didnt have on o-ring. Anyway im pretty sure it is in the correct spot. Here is a pic it is just that little pipe on the gasket.
