Fires up now. Problem was the distributor went at 180 again. this is the 3rd or 4th time its done this when I kill the engine. I did it one time driving a few months back. How can I dianoise the difference between a bad timing chain and a bad distrubutor gear? I’m thinking its a sign of a bad timing chain. what do you think?

I looked at that video. I took it all apart. and what I found was shocking. When I rebuilt it, a screw got into one of the cavities of the valve body. one of the screws that I lost. why it wasn’t squirting is the assembly that squirts it at an angle was put on backwards. charging up the battery and see how she runs. I can’t believe it ran with that screw stuck!

Attachments:Attachments:Heres what I did. Dropping it an inch did work. My next question is slip. it measure 1.5 inches. this driveshaft and yoke came outta a 72 ford maverick. Is 1.5 inches of slip good?

Id leave it orginal. Upgrade to disc brakes, alternator if u dont have one. 6 cylinders are the way to go. they give you that proformance, but that fuel comsumtion. My 6 Cylinder sounds mean enough for stock exhaust. You may wanna try a couple of flow masters and a glass pack.

what about a lower profile mount? Trying to use what I have if I can. a smaller Yoke means another driveshaft
