have you checked your tires? they could be cupped i had this same problem with my mazda and i though it sounded like a wheel bearing but my rear tires were cupped. what your will be looking for is high and low spots in your tire tread, if you cant get a good visual you should be able to run your hand over the tire and feel the high and low spots of the treads. if that is the case you need new tires and i would do a 4 wheel alignment as well

yes i have also looked at the steering shaft joint and had my wife back up and pull into the drive way with the hood open and the noise isnt coming from there from what i noticed, but that doesnt mean that it isnt it either! and really the exhaust studs? i dont mean to sound uninformed but where/what are those? only thing i can think of is where the headers bolt on.

i inspected the cv axles this morning there seems to be a little play in them but now a lot im pretty sure the play that is in them is normal? im not sure becasue i have never really delt with them before and not sure what normal is. i dont have struts just shock and those seem to be good as well. and i will be checking out the control arm bushings tonight but it would seem that it would give me a different sound more of like clunking when going over bumps and such.
