Since it is happening when you go over speed bumps can you open the hood and then you or you and a friend can push up and down on side of car you suspect. Then maybe you can narrow it down a bit better. You then may want to lift front tires off ground and put car up on jack stands for support and check if it could be ball joint. Grab top and bottom of tire and try to move top out while pushing buttom in then alternate in out in out to see if there is any play in that part of suspension. You may then want to get under and see if any suspension parts seem to be loose. I would do that before pulling the struts out, may be something else. Good luck and be safe.

I think you may have an Output Shaft Bearing or input shaft bearing problem that you may want to check. Be safe.
I believe gm lets the vent circulate just a certain percentage like 80 ar 90 percent the other 10-20 percent is air from outside. Now if the door is not moving then it could be a vacuum leak in the vacuum hose that controls the vent door. some cars have electric motors that control them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ayGTFR9gHs
I have seen a video on realfixesrealfast , Eric has a link to that web site. Well he shows a car that had a problem with the map sensor vacuum hose. It was so old that when looking at it with the engine off looked fine but when you start the engine it would collapse, see if yours is soft. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfSq5GaTIrQ I hope this link works.
Check pcv valve and hose but make sure engine ground is good and test to see if you have an intake manifold leak.
Do you have any other problems like does it act up when coming to a stop light or anything. I would start out by checking the throttle body and cleaning it. It could be dirty and sticking a bit. Does it seem to start fine only when its been driven and warm or do you have the same problem starting it warm or cold?
Did you take a look at the throttle body to see if it needs a cleaning. It could be a little gunked up.
I woud check on using silicone spray, just make sure it is safe for the rubber parts, if you go with spray dont use WD-40 because the solvents in it will attack rubber parts. Lets see what others may have used for rubber parts protection.
HI glad you found a starting point, I found a problem with the mercury switch I believe you have one in the trunk and in the front hood that control on off function for those lights. I have seen them switches come loose and stay on with hood or trunk closed. , Make sure the hood light goes out or take out the bulbs and see if you still have a drain. good luck
I once put a test light inline with the battery and made sure everything was off. Pull fuse from radio, bulb from under hood if you have one, doors closed. etc. Now if light is on then you have a short. I then started to remove fuses one at a time and putting back in till test light went out. I found interior light wire to have a short. You may be able to narrow it down.
No codes, I would start first by checking fuel pressure, spark, and air. See if one is missing. Hope it is not the computer.
