      Here ( in the UK ) I see parts distributors make it easy for the end customers to get discounts, garages tend to get no discount + same day delivery charges. Often the List Prices for garages ordering over the phone are alot higher than the click and collect prices on the website before discount.

      To be fair my local garage parts are only marked up around about the charge for same day delivery they get charged.

        I’d never run the car with no battery, the battery acts like a big capacitor when the car it running and keeps the voltage from the alternator stable and prevents voltage spikes and excess current from the alternator affecting your car’s electronics.

            It’s always handy to get a how to video on taking these things apart, easy to break.

            my only gripe with this video, is it’s more difficult than just straight swapping out the CD/DVD drive on these, if you chose to or need to go down this road.

            The easiest way I can put it is like how many car manufacturers now code Radios to cars ECU’s. the Radio will just work with the car it’s meant to be in but requires a code to work in any other.

            With the Xbox 360 is not always easy to get the CD/DVD drive coded to a new Xbox, you gotta have the right know how, and ether re flash the drive Firmware on the DVD drive with the DVD key the original drive for that xbox had( many drives require modification to remove the read write protection on the drive’s motherboard ), It’s even harder change the DVD key in the xbox is self with the one of the new drive.

            If you don’t do this The xbox 360 will not load any games. It will see everything as a dvd video or CD!!

            The other issue is that any time you flash the drive of the xbox, you are making modifications that may get your xbox banned from xbox live, if you use that. All the tools to do this publicly came about from people trying to play pirate copies of games hence why microsoft take a dim view of any unoffical modifications.

                It is true.

                Diesel oil in most cases covers petrol specs. I actually use diesel oil when it’s cheaper than the petrol equivalent.

                    It’s what progressive governments with a green agenda do ( keep an eye on that president and senate of yours). We’ve had protest and all sorts, so far all that’s happened is they have stooped raising tax on fuel, no sign of winding it back even the tiniest amount.

                    The press call it the governments “war on the motorist”! Somehow I doubt many Americans will tolerate such things, except in California.

                        I get about 34-38 MPG’s on Petrol/gasoline, and 29-33 MPG’s on LPG/Autogas. The conversion with the Prins VSI kit ( supposedly the most reliable) cost me £1500. so not cheep but if you drive enough it certainly works out cheaper in the long run.

                        @NETWizz

                        70+% of our petrol/gasolline price is tax though in the UK, I think it might be closer to 80% now. LPG/autogas is taxed at lower rate, more like 40-50%

                            I do believe in the karmic what goes around comes around too. You do good things for good people, they will invariably help you out at some point or just show appreciation. Usually the gratitude is enough.

                            Some people though, ARRGGGHHH, like my Sister, expects you to fix everything for them, and the reward is not getting yelled at. no show of apprication or Gratitude what so ever.

                                Dexos is an oil standard. vital to some GM diesels.
