are those timing belt kits online all oem parts? do you know if the dealership would have those kits?
thanks eric!! will it be ok to use a impact to get that bolt off from the sprocket. how about changing the crankshaft seal?
thanx for the link
Ah, i was just asking in general, no specific car. but i guess it does depend on what car.
but are there any quick checks you can do, for any car?
thx for that link
it stays on, but doesn’t blink. i know its supposed to blink while the ignition off, and while park etc. is there anything i can do first, maybe a procedure to reset it. i have yet to see the owners manual. thanks for the replies.
what do you think the problem is eric? should i just tell my friend to have it checked by the dealer? i just hope they don’t try to rip her off…..
it starts, and its being driven. it hasn’t blinked since i replaced the starter last month. its a friends car and it kind of bothers her, saying her alarm is not working. saw another friend with the the same car, and her light is blinking.
thanks for the feddback. have any of you guys used the mityvac vacuum pump for bleeding your brakes?
October 28, 2011 at 11:00 am in reply to: electronic throttle body cleaning/MAF sensor cleaning #444372its a drive-by-wire. so just clean the one side of the throttle and housing?
also, is it necessary to perform a ‘idle relearn’?
October 28, 2011 at 11:00 am in reply to: electronic throttle body cleaning/MAF sensor cleaning #444375its great hearing from you eric. i’ve read many murano owners with throttle problems after cleaning them. my guess its because they sprayed cleaner directly to the throttle destroying the sensors. i read in my automotive book about servicing a electronic throttle, that the cleaner should be applied in a clean rag. but with all of the problems that can occur after this, i will just put that aside for now. i wonder how shops/dealerships perform this service with the electronic throttle?
