Hand rubbing.
I say pull it in the shade.
Wash it good and chamois dry.
Use a cleaner/wax on older oxidized paint.
If ya want to go a step further finish with a carnuba wax be it Meguirs, Turtle, or whatever.
I personally think the best on an already shiny finish is 3m hand glaze to bring ou th best shine. Then a carnuba wax to seal it. .
Just my opinion.Good posts.

Cutting with 2000 I compound with 3M perfect it and a white pad. Followed with a black pad and either the dark or light polish depending on the color. If its dark whether SS or base/clear I have gone ultrafina and a blue pad for the best finish. JMO
Just to add…I like to follow 2000 with 3000 trizac wet…..makes it compound like butter on fresh finishes…

It brings the old mold release to the top. Won’t last long. If ya scuff it and shoot adhesion promoter followed with epoxy reduced as a sealer then satin urethane SS black wet on wet then you will have years and years of great results…Hope this helped
