So, you start it, then shut it back off and it sits for 20 minutes? And won’t start? But give it another 20 minutes it starts?

If this is the case, take it to a tire shop…they’ll have a impact that’ll either break it loose, or break it. In which case, go to boneyard and get another.

May 2, 2018 at 6:17 am in reply to: P1336 Crank position sensor prob bad how do I replace it? #888143Need at least 1/2″ drive. I get a jackstand, enough extensions to extend past wheelwell, rest extensions on the jackstand, and get a long cheater. Even better if you can get 3/4″ drive.
Well, really hard to troubleshoot with all them mods. Either Your tune is wrong, front o2 sensors aren’t working right, engine isn’t getting into closed loop mode, or some other type of air/fuel issue. Id advise going back to whoever tuned your mods.
I had an old Sentra that did this. Turned out the timing chain tensioner was worn out, once the oil thinned out it started tapping(tensioner lost its tension as the plastic had been eaten up).
Sounds like you’re on it. Air in the coolant, throttlebody or iacv having a bubble. Eric has a good video, using that big funnel to burp the system. Or the iacv itself is crap. Perhaps get a boneyard one, give its shot. Good luck!
Best way is get a spark tester, they’re a couple bucks at the part store. Remove the coil pack, put it on the tester, attach tester to ground. Crank..should see a nice blue spark. if you do, then I’d check for fuel pressure. If You don’t, then…then either the ignition control module is failed(if it has one). Or the signal coming from ecm is no good.
I’d suspect spark plugs. Also fuel filter, I think this model still has one.
Rotate tires? See if it moves.

I’m not familiar with that code. If it’s the rear o2 sensor, I wouldn’t worry too much about it, it just monitors catalytic converter efficiency. Gas mileage ok?
Do you know what cylinder is misfiring? If the exhaust leak is bad enough, it could definitely cause a problem? Does the exhaust smell rich? How about fuel mileage? Good luck!
I’d check, when it stalls, if you’ve lost spark or fuel. If spark, I’d suspect the ignition control module. Which can be removed and tested at the parts store. Just make sure you remove the heat sinc, then have them test it several times(I had to ge hot when it fails).
If its fuel you’ve lost. Then, is the fuel tank at least 1/4 full? If not, add gas. If it is, I’d suspect the fuel pump. Good luck!
