The fluid is clean and full to where it is supposed to be. I don’t really have the money to have someone scan it, everyone around here want’s to charge an arm and a leg just to hook up a scan tool for 30 seconds. I haven’t noticed the D indicator blinking at all but I have a bad habit of turning on my lights even in the day times (my mom started me on it, telling me that it makes me easier to see in the day time, less likely to get in an accident). I will have to test it tomorrow, since it’s now dark here and it’s currently parked at my parents house. Thank you.
I finally figured it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoever owned the vehicle prior to us didnt maintain it very well. It was the water pump. It made no noise and the bearings were still 100% intact and zero play in them what so ever. It even looked brand new when we took removed it. Below are two pictures of the water pump and how bad it was on the inside and how well it looked on the outside. The old one is dirty because our hands were dirty when we removed it. I hope this could help someone else if they have this problem. You can now see why there would be no heat and it was over heating. Thanks to all who have helped.
We took the return hose off today to fill the system and made sure the system was bled. When we pulled the return hose for the heater core we just fill it with water and then shove the return hose back on. Started the car and let it warm up to operating temps and still no heat. I don’t believe that the head gasket is blown just do to no rough idle or white smoke burning, also no pressurized cooling system. I have actually been pondering if the water pump could be bad without making a noise. I am not sure if that is possible or not but if it is I would gladly like to know. So far I have tried everything you guys have said plus some things that I know or have just thought of off the top of my head. I am really starting to get stumped here. If anyone can think of anything that would even remotely be “out of the box” and let me know that would be awesome. Thanks guys.
I do believe that my stepdad did test it yes. I think I know what air locked means but I have probably heard it as a different term. Could you please explain how to possibly solve it? Thank you.
