I wish I could remember… as far as now, I’ve seen like 100 or so from ETCG, not including ETCG1, Hangouts, FATRL… Just guessing, but it probably was the engine dissection or the Tahoe engine replacement…
I know that Eric already did his hangout, but come on guys, let’s this topic be interesting. there was a lot of things that Eric wasn’t able to cover in half an hour, so I will really appreciate if experienced people could answer not just mine, but everyone else’s doubts. For example, I didn’t belive that egg thing until I heard from Eric himself that it worked sometime ago. I want to know if you did encounter these kinda “cheap fixes” useful, or if some sentences are really true. I’m really curious about that.

I would like to work on my own car, but sometimes I feel I just can’t handle the pressure. I have to figure out how things work, I might need a spare part and might not be able to find it with ease as most technicians can do. Sometimes, it is just for the technicians. About taking money away, hey… remember that sometimes we screw it up really bad, or at least some of us; and then, we are forced to go to the experts.

The first thing you need to do, is find out the source of the noise. I’m not a technician, but from my own experience and that knocking noise you hear, you could try to diagnose ignition, air temp, engine block temp and things like that. It may be fixable. 🙂

Guess what… Firefox 24.0 is out. Will be a good chance to test the https content.

A little tip:
Another property on video encoding is the keyframe interval. a Keyframe is a complete image inside the video data, all other frames are just color variations from the last keyframe. A keyframe appears (normally) a few seconds after the last one. You could try to increase the keyframe interval (if there’s any option to do that, otherwise you’ll have to re-process an exported moviewith 3rd-party software) so these keyframes will be less common. The normal (color variation) frames are smaller packets than keyframes.A little tip:

Epic WIN!
Well, I might add that; here, in my country (Honduras) we don’t have regulations on car modification (such a bad thing) so you can drive with improperly installed HID and, in high beam and it will be perfectly legal. Personally, I’m neutral about having HID lapms, but, as far as Eric shown us, the lights didn’t cause any excessive glare. they’re just brighter. And I love how he explained about how the worries of most of the people here were not justified. It was a good job as far as it did work.
But, I should come with a doubt about having the ballasts installed the way Eric did. I guess, I might drill two holes per ballast, and probably mounted them somewhere else (I even seen a possibility, just aside the light reflectors, at the other side of the frame) well, at least it seemed to be big enough from the footage.
Anyway, great to have a HID… I’m seriously thinking of getting one for my Elantra.
