I’ve pulled the carby apart and it was absolutely filthy (I used detergent not carby dip and the colour of the liquid went black instantly). Unfortunately auto part store gave me the wrong kit so I need to go back tomorrow and get a replacement.
I’ll get pictures when I’m done with the rebuild.

Try this place. In Australia where everything is much more expensive most people buy new through this company rather than getting turbos rebuilt. There are great products and results at good prices from this company.
I wouldn’t ebay a turbo however unless it came from a local seller.

Whenever I go to my local Toyota dealership to get parts for my Daihatsu (as that’s where i have to go in Australia).
There are ALWAYS suits standing in the parts/service lobby talking – I mean 3-5 people in shirts/ties doing nothing but gas bagging.
When I ask for the parts personnel it’s always the same guy who rushes from the back (of the shop) to try and help me.
The techs in the workshop are always busy.
Then I wonder about how they had to sack so many people and how they justified it.
Perhaps I always come in on their lunch breaks? (possible coincidence) but yeah, I think what makes it worse is they didn’t even acknowledge me they kept chatting about whatever it was – customer service? yeah right.

So another problem arises, seems the intake manifold decided to leak and I’ve got coolant in my oil sNope, turns out I’m an absolute idiot and didn’t have the pressure plate bolted correctly… Oh well, lucky third time (and lessons learnt for the first two)._x000D_

Cheers all anyway, another one to add to the knowledge bank._x000D_

If your clutch job doesn’t woNope, pictures were taken like that on purpose (didn’t have any room to put them anywhere else), I had the flat side of the clutch disc against the flywheel._x000D_

Could under tightening or over tightening of the pressure plate cause my problems?_x000D_
