Thanks for responding so quickly Rob. My pulley have one single bolt in the middle. So i guess there is no rubber boot. I will try the other test this weekend. To engage the clutch manually is to ground the the fuse, right?
if you dont mind, google my 2006 kia rio compressor so u can see what it looks like
Thanks again
it wont upload…im getting error message. its a word documnet. i cant make it load…it is not an actual picture, just a diagram from manual. Im also looking at exploaded view of the compressor, no boot.
i dont notice any presence or ruber boot in my compressor clutch.
This is what my compressor looks like.
im putting it in atttachment but its getting error. I dont know how to make it work.
But it seem taht there is no rubber boot in my compressor clutch.
It has to be fixed if there is severe vibration. vibration will break other parts like hoses and tubes and gaskets…etc, etc.
…and your spark plugs are ok?
There is no problem restarting. No problem during acceleration. It only happens when car is rested for a long time. I have no tools for checking fuel pressure. I read an article that engine light should show with this problem but there is no engine light in my car. Is this article accurate? I also found a fuel system diagram for this car and it says that the regulator is in the tank with the pump and filter too. ‘D. Tols’, that picture you posted, is it from a kia rio 2006?
Also, i dont smell gas in engine compartment, no black smoke from exhaust. Car was state inspected couple of weeks ago from dealership. I do too suspect fuel pressur regulator too but not very sure. How do i test regulator if its in the tank? It is not wise to just replace it, right?
i believe its fuel pressure regulator is in the fuel pump, along with the filter which resides in the tank. Do i test it the same way? Is ti better to replace the whole set? Thanks for replying so quick. I appreciate it very much.
or is it in the lower hose?
same symptoms with my 01 galant. i replaced all mounts and still the same. i noticed that the left side and front side of the body is not symmetrical (looking at the front of the vehicle) so i figured that it has been in an accident when i bought it used. Do you know the history of your car?
Im not saying that this is the problem but read something about Crankshaft Positon Center. I had the same issue as yours and mine fixes it. It will not lit the engine warning on early stage. Stalling will occur more overtime.
Thanks for your response Evil but i already did the Screwdriver wedge and test drove it. I didnt notice anything abnormal. The small bolt im talking about is the bolt that secure the lowest part of the timingbelt cover and it sits behind the pulley. What possible damages do you think can occur about what i did? And what symptoms would i see?
How bout wedging a scewdriver behind the pulley, is it safe to do that? There is a small bolt behind the pulley. Wedge the screwdriver between the pulley and bolt probably? Thanks by the way for the replies.
I have a 2001 Galant and it has no bleeder. Galant and Eclipse have the same engine. So i believe yours have no bleeder. Are you having overheating issue with the car? Is so, just raise the front of your car and run the engine for a while with open radiator cap. Goodluck.
Collegeman is right. Canister Purge Control Valve fixes this problem.
Crankshaft Position Sensor fixes this problem, not the accelerator cable.
