Dude, you are to nervous. Just put the block under the oil pan and the jack. You may not have to lower ur engine. You lower it only if you cant get anything out – like the belt or the crank pulley. And even if you lower it, it may be just a little bit. The front mount stays. Dont you have the Haynes manual for your car? If not, go to the library.
With my car, the instruction said that i have to remove the engine mount. But when I did the work, engine mount stayed. Just get the block and jack ready. Also make sure you are working on a level surface, not uphill or downhill. It’s a must.
Can you show us picture of your engine mount, in very close view. Some need only to loosen their mount so it slide up and down. That way you wont be worried about your engine collapsing.
Also, when i did my timing belt, i used two supports (block and jack). i put one under the engine and one under the tranny. Lol, i was very worried too back then. But i never used it (lowering the engine).
Dude, you need an exorcist priest……lol….pardon my sense of humor
collegeman is right. I had the same problem as yours. canister purge control valve is the culprit.
u are horrible Dtidman….lol
thanks
I had problem with stalling before and it lead me to Crankshaft Position Sensor. Is you car equipped with that?
I switch the AC comp relay to horn relay. I can still hear the weird sound but it doesnt shut off anymore.
It is fixed for now. The CEL disappeared by itself. I am suspecting the Lukas injector cleaner. I just keep filling up my fuel tank to reduce the concentration of Lukas.
It is really hard to tell where the air pocket’s at? But what you can do is get a jack and raise the front of your car as high as you can get then start the engine again with the rad cap off and heater knob to hot section and so on………
Crazed sounds right because the code is saying Inactivity. If its something else, it should be a different code but im not sure. Also i forgot to mention, before the 2nd incident happened, i put 1 bottle of Lukas injector cleaner in my full tank. Does it trigger warning light temporarily hence there is no more warning light at this time? It went away by itself.
I drove the car to work this morning. The warning light was on. In the afternoon after starting the engine, no more warning light. What does that mean? Should i just wait until the light pop up again?
Few questions….
1. Do i check the Sensor with voltmeter too for refund or exhange?
2. Can i just replace both end of the connector?
3. If the wire itself is the culprit, is it replaceable, isnt it bunch up with other wirings too?
4. Where is other end of the wiring lead to (fuse box, battery…etc.)?Sensor fuses checked. Both of them look good. Do i go to wiring next?
You are right, No Activity Detected. If i change the wiring and the plug. Is it simple to pull out? From the sensor itself, where does the wire lead?
Did you park your car on flat/level surface?
