The sound was there before the work was done also, it overheated for less than a minute and I shut it off because the heater hose broke then I started to hear the noise. Doesn’t overheat

Thanks bud for the quick reply. Doesnt change under load or neutral. It is a 2002 jeep liberty 3.7l v6 sohc. Runs strong. No noise at idle or below 2000rpm or over 2000rpm. Sounds like its coming from the engine bay.

Fixed it the left timing chain tensioner ended up broken and the tchain stretched. Entire new timing kit with the guides, tensioners, etc.

I’m doing a full change to synthetic oil to see if the noise changes this weekend..in the meantime, I’ll get a new video up and move my camera around in the engine bay

On a dead cold start, no noise. After running for maybe 5-10, minutes, noise comes back. Someone please helpUpdate:
