I have pulled every fuse one by one and every relay with no change . I was wondering if that module maybe had a constant live wire for the fuel level sensor or something . lucky me i’m back on it today .

99 percent of the time with gm cars the problem is in the harness . I don’t care what any one says I splice and solder wheel speed wires all the time and never have a problem . just carefully open the harness and give a light tug on each wire . usually the bad one will break very easily .

it ended up being a malfunctioning purge valve on the intake . the vehicle was a 2011 ford police interceptor suv with a 3.5 l v6

the long term fuel trims are around -5.0 and the short terms are 20+ positive . i used a smoke machine connected to the line from the brake booster and came up with no visible vacuum leaks . i figured out today that the purge valve on the intake is where the fast clicking noise is coming from .

i wouldn’t . its important to bench bleed so you don’t pump more air into the system . if you bench bleed properly and don’t shake the lines during the master replacement you might be able to skip bleeding at the wheels all together .

those vehicles are prone to vacuum leaks . check over the hoses really good . especially the large pcv elbows .

when switching shops in the future i would recommend taking a week off from your current job and work a week at the new one . i wish i had done that this time but live and learn i guess .

we try to do whats best for us and our families but there is always a boss out there that can`t accept that . I gave my two week notice and my boss doubted me flipped out and said i was screwing him over . two weeks later i left for the other job . Worked the other job for three weeks and my old boss begged me to come back . of course i went back because the other job was not what i expected and the offer to come back was big . now that I’m back he’s right back to the same crap that made me want to leave in the first place . I have no idea what to do now . I can’t win no matter what i do .
