Well I don’t really want to throw parts at it. I’ve been trying to test everything but everything should be good now. And yes, the sensor is part of the bearing. It’s $90 for a replacement. Considering it’s reading out okay, I don’t know if it would be wise to replace it.
I would, but I have no idea what it actually takes. Everybody I talk to, mechanics, parts guys, the internet, all say any 75-80W or 80-90W will work. My manual doesn’t tell me anything and the internet hasn’t helped much as far as a specifics. In fact, I’m disappointed Mazda has such a lack of information in general. Online and in my manual. Tells me next to nothing about fluids or capacities. I suppose I’ll just have to call a dealer tomorrow and see what they use. Do you think I might have done anything damaging to my transmission because of all this or am I probably safe? There’s been no other abnormal behavior other than a sticky shifter.
