Going to just get a complete kit if possible. I keep seeing them but they only seem to fit the 4wd model. Don’t see what the difference would be. Seems odd that the 4wd and 2wd front struts match. When looking for 2wd complete strut it i’m not finding a set for it lol.

Thanks for all the help. If it matters, lol I’ll post my results once I get the complete strut sets. Having new springs might be nice.

I just took measurements. Either spring is weak or one is not torqued down. I hope this is the issue. I measured from edge of strut mount to point you see on both sides.

These are the specs. Maybe I’m just crazy. I keep thinking it all has to be in the middle of the range.

The alignment chart shows that both caster settings are different. I’ll try to find the chart so you can see what I’m talking about. If needed.

I’m also wondering if I torqued the strut mounts down when it was in the air or will weight of vehicle on it. I’ll undo everything then go back. Have lifetime alignment so it’s free lol.

Thanks. I’m mainly concerned cause I want to get the alignment in perfect spec if possible. I have adjustable control arms on the rear and now I’m being told my camber is off and caster is off on the front. I have to install camber bolts on the front but the shops seem insane. Some want 300.00 to install those cheap camber bolts. Body shop today said that they don’t see anything out of alignment. They are thinking I should try different strut plates when I get a chance. I’ll just have to see how the tires hold up and if nothing happens quickly then I can deal with alignment not being in factory specs.

I haven’t been driving my truck for a long time now. The problem is still going on and my wife had a friend replace every sensor on the truck and check fuel pressure. We did check and there is oil pooled in the plenum gasket area. Going to get it replaced soon and see what happens. Just thought I would let everybody know.

I got an older autoxray with almost all the cables for other vehicles etc. It just doesn’t support live viewing of data till i update it and that means I have to find the usb cable for it. I’ll get model number today and see about ordering usb cable.

Update-Just realized that everywhere I try to order usb cable they are discontinued. I also noticed today that when it started it’s stalling and i gave it gas while idling i could hear tapping. Wondering if a valve or something gets stuck at idle.

I don’t have a scanner but I will try to get my hands on one. I hope to check the relays soon. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I’ve tried about all I can. I’ve soaked just about every part of the engine while it is running and can’t find a vacuum leak. I sprayed the lines with starter fluid and sprayed around intake. Going to smoke engine soon. Currently replacing all front end bushings. Fuel pump is also factory but i’ve been told they hardly ever go out on a dodge.

Plugs are new Iridium, it did this before the plugs. Wires are new 8mm msd wires. I haven’t thought to check the gasket you are talking about, I thought if i had any kind of bad gasket internally there would be smoke coming out the exhaust. PCV is fine. I have seafoamed engince with 2 cans over the last year with a small hose setup like a IV drop so engine never died or hydrolocked.

I haven’t checked yet but I do think engine might be pinging and thats a sign of plenum gasket. I had a loud chattering at first when my auto tensioner was weak and it would click. Installed new 15.00 one and it went away even when a/c is on. Now at about 65-70 i can hear almost the same sound except it seems to come from driver side of motor and tensioner is on passenger side.

Replaced the Coolant temp sensor and IAT sensor and it did it a few stop lights down the road. Can’t wait to get smoke machine and check engine.
