Yes a shop put it in but today i crawled underneath there to see if any of the wires looked damaged and i noticed a small bolt tangeled in between the wires near the gear selector so i took it out started the truck and the indicator isn’t flashing anymore like it has been for the past 5 months… Kind of odd but I’ve driven it around all day and its been fine i dont know if its gonna go into limp mode again ill have to wait and see ill take it back to the shop if it acts up again. I have one more question. The 1-2 shift seems a tad bit slow and my last tranny did this also but I’ve heard that a bad tps can cause this and the engine idle goes high to low and almost dies when I start it sometimes.. I’ve replaced the maf sensor before too. I don’t know could be unrelated i just thought i would ask. Thanks for all the info you have given me
A little more info that may or may not be helpful but I’m still having the same problem and I forgot to mention after about the third time i crank, it backfires but it still doesn’t start.. Like I said the i hear the fuel pump come on and I have tried cycling the key like before but no luck

OK it has been starting fine but it started having the same problem again i cycled the key off and on multiple time and i can hear the fuel pump come on but it just keeps cranking but its not starting. Do you think its still a fuel problem or can something else be causing this?

OK I just tried cycling the key and it started first try but I always thought weak fuel pumps cause other problems while driving too? Is that also where I’m getting a fuel smell from? It runs and drives fine other than that though.

is it common for the power steering pulley be out of alignment because i did the straight edge test and the edge on the p/s pulley closest to the crankshaft pulley didn’t touch bit it did on the outer edge of the p/s pulley and the inner edge of the crankshaft pulley(right next to the p/s pulley)??

Ok so I’m guessing its an alignment issue then because no matter what area I spray water on the belt the noise goes away for a few seconds then comes back. Also I have heard from several people that they have had problems with those tensioners too so would you suggest getting one from the dealership?
