Not sure what year your car is….
If the old coil was not failed/defective, swap it back in and see if things return to normal.

Don’t laugh-I don’t know if you own the press you mentioned, but if you do then try this: If you have a large upright or chest type freezer, put the axle in it overnight. Take it out the next day and IMMEDIATELY try the press work again. Nothing to lose…..

I would suspect a faulty diaphragm inside the power brake booster. I’ve had these diaphragms cause this condition on many different makes and models over the years. It is usually accompanied by a leaking rear seal on the master cylinder-the diaphragm and the brake fluid don’t get along. The diaphragm is not serviceable-the booster has to be replaced.

Thank you College Man, it gave me great insight and confirmed my suspicions about the complexity of the job. Flat rate lists 2.0 hours-I don’t think so……. 😉 I’ll post about this again when done, likely 2-weeks or so.

WOW! I’m really interested in this scenario-how does the rainwater end up getting into the engine cylinders? I believe you but have not ever heard of this problem. Please enlighten me, thank you.

Even with tight Administrative rights you still might be able to download Mozilla Firefox as an alternate web browser. You might not be able to watch the videos yet you can still connect. I had the same IE issue and tight rights-was still able to do the Mozilla-no one complained.
