When i checked the black and yellow wire with the ground from the battery it had 11.82 volts i am going to do the other test like you said. be back shortly
there was no continuity on the white wire but i also checked the blue wire and none on it either but i check it with the ground from bat and the ground up on the valve cover is that a bad place cause i don’t know where the other place is at
yes that does happen
8.6 volts
so the distributor is bad or the ignitor is bad the whose set is 190 and the ignitor is 50 at autozone and well i don’t have the money us military folk don’t make much so maybe next payday and what do i do about the wires under the dash it is a blue wire with a black stripe on it and a black wire with a silver mark around it
what doesn’t really matter
ok kool man i will check it out and let you know what happens
I do have some good points if you guys ever need anything i do own a business so please let me know if i can help you plus i am military so i can pull strings to well time to tell if it is a distributor or the belt
OK, so I replaced the main relay and still no start and no voltage at ignition coil so where do i go now?
ok that has been done and the battery is new as well the starter is good and new as well the spark plug and wires distributor cap and rotor are all new the positive and negative post on the ignition coil are not getting power chased the wires to the fuse panel under the hood all were good looked at the fuse panel under the dash missing lot of fuses but don’t have a owners manual nor a book and i can’t find them oh and the main relay is new and good the old one was bad
Thank you very much for this maybe I can find out what is going on there is two wires that are bare and i have no clue where they go to so maybe i can check it out if you guys realy are bored text me some help lol for the garage is small and the laptop won’t go down and lord knows i need help 662 664 2871 thanks for all the help
OK all the fuses are what they are suppose to be and still no power to the coil so crap i am adding a pic of the wires that are just dangling under the dash behind the fuse panel if i knew what they were and where they went it might help a lot
to answer your question there was no spark at the plug none at the distributor and nonthing from the coil no power at the coil to produce a spark.
OK the starter turns but the engine won’t start so that is crank no start correct. How do i check the main relay and can someone one hook me up with a wire diagram and fuse panel under the dash layout and fuse I have a blue and black wire that is stripped and twisted together under neath the dash by the fuse panel and i would like to know what they go to if they need to be connected to something else or what
Thanks for the imput on the top of the ignition coil there is the negative and positive side i checked voltage there. Was i wrong for doing it that way? I don’t have many tools at all and not very knowledgable with all the names of tools. I plan to pull the main relay today to try to figure out how to test it. I hear the fuel pump humm for a few seconds is all I know. I checked the wires out yesterday they all looked good except under neath the dash by the fuse panel there is a black and blue wire that is twisted together from god knows where. I would like a fuse panel layout and wire diagram for the car with out paying if anyone has any ideas please help. I am a newb so all help is appreciated.
