when I ran the fleet dept At DHL we changed them out at 65,000 miles Some hose seem fine BUT with a truck running 12 hours a day 6 days a week we did NOT want to take any chances And yes I seen hoses last well over 100,000 miles BUT for something that is cheap you really don’t want to break down 2 AM

Yes I don’t understand why he did not clean out the pan I all ways clean and dry it so there is NO dirt to be mixed with the clean fluid and yea those exhaust bolt can be a pain I all ways use a little heat on them and when I put them back I all ways use anti seize on them
as far as the gasket with the small holes I think the real Cheap kits don’t have them but a good quality kit like wix will have them It does make life much more easier .You be surprised how many techs out there don’t know of this trick .I found out years ago by accidentYes I don’t understand why he did not clean out the pan I all ways clean and dry it so there is NO dirt to be mixed with the clean fluid and yea those exhaust bolt can be a pain I all ways use a little heat on them and when I put them back I all ways use anti seize on them

as far as service interval is every 30.000 miles

I have only one question WHY I just talk three people this week out of ever becoming a tech. I have made it my mission to tell any one thinking about out to forget it But I guess you will have to find out on your own. Now as far as a dealership goes STAY FAR AWAY same goes for places like pep boys they are the worst Go to any good independent shop and ask them what they think about this Feld Most will tell you NOT to go in to it In my 40 plus year in this business I do not know one tech that likes what they are doing I have seen so many after 5/6 years just walk away form it

SO I will ask again WHYI have ton of snap on tools and in the last few months I have bought some Harbor Freight stuff and they seem to work well I don’t think they will take the beating that the snap ons do but since I am retired and don’t use them every day they are fine I think for some one starting out harbor freight will be fine .And if you still want to stay with it then replace a little at a time with snap on when you have the funds to spend
harbor freight stuff will not last as long as snap on Hell I have snap on tools that I bought back in 1965 that I have used hard and today still are in good shape So It really up to you how you are going to use your tools For a week end jobs Harbor freight will be just fine For every day abuse THEN its snap on all the wayI have ton of snap on tools and in the last few months I have bought some Harbor Freight stuff and they seem to work well I don’t think they will take the beating that the snap ons do but since I am retired and don’t use them every day they are fine I think for some one starting out harbor freight will be fine .And if you still want to stay with it then replace a little at a time with snap on when you have the funds to spend
