I tried that But you have to have a subscription It seems the tech is the one that does all the work BUT every one else makes the money This field is getting so bad for the independent shops that are trying to make a living . between having to update tools all the time, The cost of parts ,Trying to get information and then its the cost of the business and all the taxes and fees that goes with it. Then we are finding that most people today can not afford to have their car fixed because of the cost. It just NOT worth it any more
I was hoping to find something that did not cost money all the time

I think you are missing the point what I am told is R134 will be like R 12 It will be illegal and R 123 will be mandated it not that R134 is cheep
My point is NONE of my ac tools will work on R123 To me it nothing more than a scam to sell more tools also the only place were R 123 is produce is in china For me it has NOTHING to do with ozone level
after all these years I STILL love R12. R134 has never got as cold as R 12 and R 123 is not as cold as R 134
I still have 90 lbs of sealed R 12 in my shop and will be keeping it for my own stuff
I am so glad to be at the end of this mess a few more years I will retire form this mess :cheer:

I Hope its NOT Faulkner Cadillac That whole service department is totally screwed up I know those people A very good friend works in the parts dept You said they are paying you 15 an hour flat rate Hate to burst your bubble but MAN thats LOW 20 Years age I made 22 an hour hourly as a fleet tec with all the over time I wanted ave 52-57 hours a week plus DHLs benefits Faulkner could NEVER match
I will go to my grave On WHY in the world would any one go with flat rate IT good for the dealership BAD for the tec
I got off the Mickey mouse pay system many years ago
Here is way fat rate DOSE NOT WORK had a 2014 ford escape come in the shop last week The car could be going down the highway and lose all power as if the battery just failed Car went back in forth the the dealership C&C ford and they could not fix it because by the the they got it all was well Took some time but found that there was a poor wire splice from the factory under the rad support
took about 4 hours to find AT the dealership under flat rate you do not get payed to spend the time to chase down stuff like this If you took the time well by the end of the week you will see your pay is not good at all Plus the moron service writer will be up your ass Flat rate has burned out many good tecs
And as complicated as todays cars are IT WILL GET WORSE When will dealerships get the big picture and STOP screwing the tec and the customer and GET RID OF THIS Flat rate crap
SORRY for the rant I just get so ticked off with how poorly dealerships are run And I have talked to a lot in philly They are all crying their
sever dept is WAY off WITCH I tell them wake the F#@$#% UP

Ok found the problem yesterday after my jeep quit
I put a presure gage on and the fuel pump was putting out
5psi and as some as I turned it off the gage went to 0
Today dropped the tank AGIAN and installed another’s
Delphi fuel pump started the jeep up I now getting 20 psi
And when I shut it down the gage went back to 0
The problem was the wix filter/regulator was bad AGIAN
This was the 4th one in installed in two weeks
I ended up getting A ipc filter/regulator and I now have 49 psi
And it now holds presure took the wix filter
Apart and found that the presure regulated was bad
This little part ended up burning up my first Delphi pump
I will NEVER use wix AGIAN they used to be good
But now wix is from Taiwan
I am still trying to find a U.S. company but that’s not
Easy to find I am really pissed at wix and they are going to hear from
Me all my problems with my fuel problem ended up because of a crappy
                    Fuel fitler /regulator

ok here is whats going on with my grand cherokee
The brand new steering box got so bad that it first locked up then when I got it free it kept turning to the left by itself
witch i have to say is a scary thing when you are driving.I got so sick of messing with it so went to the junk yard and picked up a used box for 75 bucks pulled it all apart flushed the pump and hoses really good and installed the used box
Well all is now well with my jeep no more problems .
SO what caused all this I took that new box apart and this is what I found First there is a brass sleeve for the pitman arm shaft that was not fitted right and was getting torn up leaving a lot of small bras particles in the spool valve # 2 when they built this box and cut the threads for the pressure hoses some of that thread cutting ended up in side the box as I found some threads residue in the spool valve
SO they were in some hurry in building this box
so Now I am starting to think of installing a power steering filter on the return line but no body seem to sale them Online they do but no has them locally
If i had a filter on the power steering in the first place I just might not had all of these problems
I guess today every one is in a hurry and making a buck and NOT caring about a good quality job getting done
