      Quoted From jhn9840:

If you search out Craigslist, Ebay ect… you may find a real good deal on a used Lincoln,Hobart or Miller machine. For about the same amount of money these machines are backed by parts and service that you may not be able to find with some of the cheaper welders out there.

I have to 2:nd this. Stay away from the cheap alternatives and buy a used quality machine. 10 years from now, you’ll thank me/us for that advice.

There has been many, but this is the worst:

MB 310 diesel – Someone else had done a cylinder head job recently and forgotten to tighten the bolt for the camshaft sprocket. I replaced a few bent valves, timing chain, sprockets and so on, all while muttering over that useless idiot who had left a bolt lose like that.
Got it all together, took it for a test drive, but didn’t get very far. The crankshaft pulley wasn’t tightened, bent valves AGAIN…W-|

Can you hear the fuel pump? Since it’s at ’91 i would guess that you have the main fuel pump in the tank, and not under the the car as on most 740’s. Have someone listen in the filler neck when you crank.
          Possible causes:
The relay, remove ashtray and the shelf above, white relay to the left. Replace or resolder, most common problem is bad solder points.
The pump itself. Easiest way to test is to give the bottom of the tank a good whack with a broomstick or whatever. If that brings it back to life, replace it.
