I found out about Shop Key by Snap-on. It runs about $6,000 per year! Is it any better than All Data, Mitchell on Demand, or Identifix, and is it worth the price? I was told All Data runs about $2,500 per year; but I don’t know what the others run.

Start off by reading Eric’s articles on electrical systems, and watch his video’s. Then, go to realfixesrealfast.com there is a 6 part lesson plan on electrical systems and wiring diagrams. πŸ˜‰

If you are having a bouncing problem while towing, I would buy top quality heavy duty gas charged shocks to put on it. In fact, I would get them from some place that specializes in after market truck parts. This is something to think about also; if you do a lot of towing over long distances, I would consider putting an air suspension on it. πŸ™‚

Its really a hit or miss. Sometimes when you turn it on it will start out blowing cold, then start blowing warm or hot. You have to slide the Temp control switch up and down a couple of times to get it to start blowing cold again. Sometimes it will start out blowing warm or hot, and you have to slide the controls up and down to get it to blow cold.

I admit that I’m no long time Tech, but I have worked on my own stuff for years. After retiring from 20 years of bull shit; I went back to college at 47. I’m working on a AAS Degree in Auto Technology. I didn’t want to take my good tools to school, so I went to the Harbor and bought the 300 + piece tool set and other wrenches and hammers. I have to say they are holding up very well. If you buy from NAPA, the Evercraft brand wrenches, you will see they are the same, but the Pittsburgh Tools are cheaper in price. I’ve tried to bust sockets and they held up! I’ve seen Snap on bust and my cheap’o Pittsburgh didn’t. Hey if it has a life time warranty, buy it. If it breaks, take it back. The Harbor Freight stores in Arkansas ask no questions and exchange them for you. banana:
