Great video on the compressor repair. When you mentioned that swapping the white and black wire would make the morot run backwards. Since the compressor runs on A/C current, it shouldn’t matter. Whats important is that the black is usually the hot wire and the white is the return, e.g., in household wiring. Also, the owners manuals mays have an expolded view and detailed parts list to use as a guide. All the best.

          Eric,

Your videos are unlike anything I’ve seem on the internet and I’m impressed by the quality, realism and practicality of your approach to repairs. So, I totally understand why some of your videos are for sell. They are worth it. Its easier for me to learn from some else’s mistakes. Also, since you don’t use a lift, your videos hit home to the DYI’er like myself. You give me the perseverence to tackle repairs on my own. I am a bit skepticle about junk yard engine swaps, even with the warranty. Losing 6-7 hours on a bad engine you just installed is hard to recover from. However, I understood how you got there which brings up another point, your honesty, which I greatly appreciate. Stay dirty!

Thanks Wrench Turner. Normally simple enough but the shop said that they have to remove the PSP and maybe other stuff just to get to the fittings. The system has been leaking for more than a year. I’m not a trained mechanic, but I’ve changed a lot of difficult to replace parts in various caars since the 70s. I’ll get the residual 134a removed and tackle replacing the pipe myself. The worst that can happen is that I take it to the shop and let them do the repair to the tune of $900. Thanks for the advice!
