First double check your tire pressure. One of my customers has needed tires resealed for over a year, every time they get low it does that. Wish she would just let me fix them. Could be other things, maybe alignment or other.

sounds like a shorted battery to me, the alternator keeps thinking it needs more charge. when it gets to higher rpm the alt. can really pump a charge.

Only reason I know is for timing, if you have a hydrolic or auto tensioner on the timing belt it can slip and jump a tooth when turned backward. As rare as that would be I never risk it.

Personally I prefer using string rather than air to keep the valve closed to get the spring off. The air will push the piston down usually and if you run out of air for any reason that valve will drop inside making it a really bad day. Get an old pull cord from a lawnmower and stuff it in the spark plug hole then rotate the engine by hand till the piston pushes the string up against the valve to hold it. Leave some string hanging out so you can pull it out when you are done. That way you can take a break for lunch or whatever and not have the air running nonstop.

I completely agree it sounds like guides, for the cost i say slam new guide seals in it, dont even have to take the engine out. And yes if you go for an engine I suggest a proper rebuilt complete engine or long block. the history of those engines are not great for small problems like that, great engine in general.

loaded calipers just come with the bracket and slides and shims, no pads. great time saver, and not much more than just a caliper

^ point is better, no question. The rare times I get a 12 point bolt I have good sockets in 12. I dont understand the previous comments about 12 point for less room, no offence but i don’t understand how there is a difference with how a 12 point would fit easier and I want to know.
