Great videos (I’ve seen them before).
The air and fuel filter are both less than 12,000 miles old (the car had a 60k service at 71k miles back in October 2010). I will check the FPR and I’ll look for vacuum leaks as well. I did some more looking and am starting to think it might be the front o2 sensor going bad. A P0130 is usually related to that. I’m not experiencing any performance issues per se as it runs great. The fuel mileage isn’t the greatest and the transmission is tired, but that’s all I can think of. Any other suggestions would be awesome!

Thanks for the reply! I was thinking it might be the throwout bearing. That’s what I’m hoping as I won’t put a transmission in it unless I can get one for super cheap, so I hope it’s not the output shaft. I know the clutch is due, but since it’s running fine I won’t mess with it yet. I don’t want to pay a shop $500 to do the job. From experience, the transmission gets removed to replace the clutch. Not a fun or easy job. I had seen Eric’s vids on the clutch and the clutch replacement for the Focus (Escort’s successor). The clutch isn’t slipping nearly as bad as the Focus’s was.
Thanks again!
