+1 on that. I make it a regular task when checking fluids about once a month to spend the 15 seconds to see if its dirty or clean. It only takes 1 min to clean it down and helps a lot more than people think. I always move the fly with my fingers and haven’t had any issues yet. I can see you having an issue if you muscle it around but I’m gentle… Springs suck…
Honestly with building a building you get what you pay for. If you go the cheap route it likely will not last. Depending where you live etc i would do it the correct way with permits. Since you suggested 2×4’s it seems there may be a lot you don’t know about construction. Your best bet would be to call a construction company locally and have them est the cost. He can give you options etc and let you know what your paying for and what the cost will be. You don’t want to end up building a small garage to find out the winter thaw uneven-ed the ground and broke your base and caused the building to fall over… This estimate should be free of charge since its just them driving out and looking at where you want it etc. Yes it will be more than you doing it with friends but they can get it built in a weekend (after the footing).
If you don’t live by one and are passing by one stop in at a “Quaker Steak & Lube” its a restaurant. One of a kind exp. Original one is in Sharon PA on west side if your coming from Ohio its right by I-80..
My advise would be what took me bad choices to learn the hard way.
If your in the USA than there are tons of vehicles you will be able to find exactly what you want so be patient. If you have any doubts or questions on the vehicle pass on it. There are so many cars in the USA you will find another. I always jumped the gun when i was looking except my recent purchase and boy was it nicer.
Also pay off the car before you do costly modifications. I see it all the time people dumping 100’s or 1000’s in vehicles on mod’s before its paid off and some of them loose the car cause they run into job issues and cannot afford it anymore.
Hope you find a nice vehicle and it teaches you some good habits to learn and enjoy working on vehicles…
You should be safe since its not fully the wrong oil. Could something happen yes but will it no or rarely. This may explain a little for your info as well.. So it just made it thicker at operating temperatures. So your pressure could increase if u did a full oil change with higher.
A thin oil has a lower number and flows more easily, while thick oils have a higher number and are more resistant to flow.
Multi-weight oils (such as 10W-30) are made possible by adding polymers to oil. The polymers allow the oil to have different weights at different temperatures. The first number indicates the viscosity of the oil at a cold temperature, while the second number indicates the viscosity at operating temperature.
If you want to know more about oil browse this: http://micapeak.com/info/oiled.html
Same thing on my Wife 06 Explorer. She started getting the brake warning squeal. So i went to parts store and purchased some pads since I haven’t changed the brakes since i purchased it used. Noticed the shoes were still good so i looked at the angle of those dummy things. It was bent hitting the rotor. Easy adjustment. These are more for the everyday people that just drive the car till it breaks and then fix it. Gotta love saving money..
Here is what one looks like but its different on every type of brakes.
